Annual Boot Sale 2026

To raise funds for the maintenance and running costs of St Mary & St Margaret Church and The Smythe Hall, a group of local volunteers, some of whom also serve on the Parochial Church Council, meet on a regular basis to plan a varied programme of social events.

Events that have been organised in the past include:

• Car Boot Sale
• Quiz Night
• Musical Entertainment – different evenings featuring popular, jazz or classical music
• Book Sale
• Wine Tasting
• Murder Mystery Night
• Beetle Drive
• Various Talks on subjects of popular interest

However, the Fund Raising Group is always keen to receive ideas for other events which may appeal to a wide section of the local population. Any such ideas (or constructive comments about past and planned events) can be sent to the Group by clicking here.
